BOYS II PLANET proved yet again its global influence amid the high enthusiasm of K-POP fans hoping to help their bias debut with their own hands. Not only did it remain in the top spot when it came to social media buzz throughout the show, but there was a total of 69.08 million votes from 230 countries across the globe through Mnet Plus. As a result, the Mnet Plus app recorded up to 7.62 million users daily and 20 million users monthly, a scale comparable to global social media apps. Star creators, who voluntarily promote their biases, have come together as a global fandom and engaged passionately.

There was plenty of content that highlighted the participants’ unique charms!

Gen Z began by finding their cup of tea. Star creators were able to take a good look at each participant through self-introductions full of fun facts or personal fancams. In addition, a "Preference Board" that listed all participants and narrowed them down through elimination went viral on social media. By narrowing them down, they eventually identified their biases that led to "votes."

At first, I thought 160 boys were too many. But as I got to know them one by one, I found myself choosing those who appealed to me. I chose my bias, who made my heart burn with passion, through a Preference Board. From then on, I became a fan and fully dived into my bias. When I shared the Preference Board with my friends, some were steadfast, while others wavered. However, they all devoted their energy to promoting their bias for two months.

Voting wasn't the only way to save our biases!

Fans were restless as they had to support their bias, whom they had chosen after a pursuit of taste, on their debut. They not only actively participated in voting on Mnet Plus, but also showcased their voting certificates on social media to share their picks and encourage others to vote.
Additionally, they continued to support their bias through special content on Mnet Plus, including sending support that directly benefited their bias and Planet Cards, which were printable digital photo cards. As a result, Mnet Plus established itself as an interactive platform where fans' support reached participants, providing everything fandoms need to support their biases.

I opened Mnet Plus every day during BOYS II PLANET. Voting gave me Alpha Energy, which I could be used to "Support" my bias, making him a pre-debut model. When my pick was chosen, I felt proud, as if I had raised him myself. I took photos with his frame and kept buying digital photo cards to complete my collection.

This “Getting to Know Myself” trend, like MBTI and numerology, resonated globally. The semi-final video hit 5M views, and all four New Track Assignment songs charted in Korea. From "Chains," which embellished the Debut Concept Battle, to the final song "Never Been 2 Heaven," the show’s energetic vibe shone through.
